About the Founder
I'm Karoleen Decastro.
From 2008–2024, I worked as a web and software designer for design studios, consultancies, and tech start‑ups, branching out on my own in 2019.
A large part of this work involved helping businesses build their offers (SaaS and service), market themselves, manage inbound inquiries, and strengthen revenue performance while keeping processes lean and organized.
As technology continues to shift and change, so do I—ensuring my team and I implement up‑to‑date solutions for our clients without adding unnecessary complexity to their systems and workloads.
But apart from my work, it’s where I’ve been and what I’ve seen that led me to help businesses operate more effectively.
I’m from the suburbs of Los Angeles, and have lived in Santa Barbara, NYC, San Antonio, and Wilmington, NC—along with various cities across the U.S. and internationally.
I’ve worked with businesses of all shapes and sizes in communities large and small. I value how businesses shape culture, create opportunity, and serve as the backbone of local economies.
That’s why I created LuminaryIQ—my career experience allowed me to see businesses from multiple angles and sparked my passion for helping owners untangle operational challenges as a dedicated consultant.
I’m also a Trauma Informed Certified Coach (TICC), with training through ICF‑accredited programs including Moving the Human Spirit and Lumia, along with polyvagal‑informed education through the Polyvagal Institute and additional somatic training with The Embody Lab.
